Killfire Growth Engine · Field guide

A practical system for tourism bookings.

How to think about advertising, your website, and the booking experience as connected parts of one growth plan.

Austin Tanner · Founder, Killfire

Tourism businesses have different seasons, products, and operating constraints. A useful growth plan starts with the way the business runs, then connects campaigns to a booking path customers can understand.

01

Start with the operation

Before choosing an audience or campaign, look at the experiences you want to sell, their margins, available capacity, and the dates that need demand. Seasonality changes the plan; it should be part of the conversation from the beginning.

02

Make the booking path clear

Ads and SEO help travelers find you. A useful landing page makes the experience, pricing, customer proof, common questions, and next booking step easy to understand. Improve the site's technical and on-page SEO foundation alongside what the booking journey needs.

03

Connect demand and intent

Meta prospecting and retargeting and Google Search each have a role in the plan. Which campaigns make sense depends on the agreed experiences, markets, budget, and customer journey—not a one-size-fits-all formula.

04

Measure bookings with context

Set up and test completed-booking and revenue tracking, then review performance alongside cost, booking value, capacity, and seasonality. Attribution has limits; overlapping platform reports should not be added together as unique revenue.

05

Keep improving together

Agree priorities with the owner or internal team, execute the work, review bookings and costs, and decide what to change next. The first 90 days are an initial operating period for learning and improvement—not a guaranteed financial result or fixed contract term.
